These models have played a crucial role in strengthening the brand’s footprint in the competitive mid-size segment.

Rising Global Demand for India-Made Cars
Skoda Auto VW India has also emerged as a vital export center. The company has shipped over 700,000 vehicles from India to regions such as Latin America, Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. This export growth showcases the trust placed in India’s manufacturing quality and further cements the country as a strategic export base for global automotive markets.

Record-Breaking Production & Sales Performance
The pace of production has accelerated significantly the last 500,000 units were manufactured in just 3.5 years, a clear testament to improved efficiency and rising demand.
In 2025, the carmaker also achieved its highest-ever 10-month performance, delivering 61,607 units, more than double its year-on-year numbers.

Among the standout performers is the Volkswagen Virtus, which recorded its highest-ever monthly sales during Diwali. With a market share of over 40% in its segment, the Virtus continues to strengthen the company’s leadership in premium sedan space.

With two advanced manufacturing facilities one in Pune and another in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar the company has built a strong operational foundation. Skoda Auto VW India has invested nearly 600 million euros to boost localisation, increase production volumes, and expand its R&D capabilities. These investments ensure long-term sustainability and contribute significantly to India’s automotive ecosystem.
