Nothing is gearing up to launch its most ambitious smartphone yet   the Nothing Phone 3, and it's already making waves ahead of its official debut in India on July 1, 2025. The Phone 3 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, which sparked discussions across social media. In response, Nothing’s co-founder Akis Evangelidis clarified the performance metrics of the new chip, posting on X (formerly Twitter) that the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 brings:

When a user asked, “Why not the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3?”, Evangelidis explained that the 8 Gen 3 actually offers lower long-term performance and only 4 years of software support. By contrast, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 enables 5 years of OS updates and 7 years of security updates on the Phone 3   a major leap from the Phone 2’s 3-year OS and 4-year security support.

While full specifications are yet to be confirmed, early leaks and teasers hint at a promising flagship package:
