LogiMAT India 2026 to Drive $7.5 Billion Indo-German Logistics Growth

The Indo-German economic partnership is entering a decisive phase, with logistics and supply chain collaboration emerging as a key growth driver. Platforms such as LogiMAT India 2026 are expected to catalyse over 15 per cent nearly $7.5 billion of bilateral logistics and investment growth between India and Germany over the next three years, according to VDMA India.

This momentum reflects a broader strengthening of economic ties. Bilateral trade between India and Germany crossed the $50 billion milestone in 2024–25, underlining deepening cooperation across logistics, advanced technology, and industrial investments.

A Global Logistics Platform Comes to India

As the world’s largest logistics exhibition makes its presence felt in India, LogiMAT India 2026 will bring together 43 German companies alongside leading global innovators from across the logistics and supply chain ecosystem. The event will serve as a strategic meeting point for stakeholders looking to unlock new efficiencies, partnerships, and cross-border opportunities.

Highlighting the importance of the platform, Rajesh Nath, Managing Director, VDMA India, stated that Germany is India’s largest trading partner within the European Union and that the logistics and technology partnership between the two nations is entering a new era. Platforms like LogiMAT India are expected to play a crucial role in translating this partnership into tangible growth.

Government Push and Accelerating Collaboration

India’s strong policy push towards digitalisation, combined with recent bilateral agreements in logistics and express services, is further accelerating Indo-German collaboration. These developments are expected to enhance supply chain excellence, boost industrial growth, and encourage cross-border investments.

VDMA, Europe’s largest industrial association, continues to act as a vital bridge between German and Indian industries, facilitating technology transfer, innovation, and knowledge exchange across diverse industrial sectors.

Event Details and Industry Impact

Organised by Messe Stuttgart India, the three-day exhibition will be held from February 5 to 7, 2026, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai. The event is expected to bring together industry leaders to network, explore new business opportunities, expand into emerging markets, and strengthen brand visibility in one of the world’s fastest-growing logistics markets.

Commenting on the growing momentum, Gaurav Sood, CEO & Managing Director, Messe Stuttgart India, noted that the Indo-German partnership is entering a transformative phase one that is clearly visible through platforms like LogiMAT India 2026.

Germany’s Strategic Role in India–EU Trade

Germany accounts for over 25 per cent of India’s total trade with the European Union, reinforcing its position as a cornerstone of India’s European economic engagement. In 2024–25, India’s exports to Germany stood at $10.5 billion, while imports primarily machinery, electrical equipment, and precision instruments reached $19 billion.

Germany also ranks among India’s top ten global trading partners and is the ninth-largest foreign investor, with cumulative foreign direct investment exceeding $15 billion since 2000. At the broader level, the European Union remains India’s largest trading partner for goods, with bilateral trade touching $136.53 billion in 2024–25 and accounting for 17 per cent of India’s total exports.

Backdrop of Landmark Bilateral Agreements

LogiMAT India 2026 comes in the backdrop of two landmark agreements signed between India and Germany during the visit of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. These agreements aim to deepen cooperation in postal, express, and logistics services, further strengthening institutional and commercial ties between the two nations.

Showcasing the Future of Logistics

The exhibition will spotlight next-generation solutions shaping the global supply chain, including automation, advanced warehousing technologies, multimodal logistics, ESG-focused solutions, smart packaging, and AI-driven supply chain management. By bringing these innovations to the Indian market, LogiMAT India 2026 is set to reinforce its role as a catalyst for the next phase of Indo-German logistics collaboration.

As India positions itself as a global manufacturing and logistics hub, platforms like LogiMAT India 2026 will play a pivotal role in converting strategic partnerships into sustainable growth, innovation, and long-term economic value for both nations.
