Deendayal Port Authority (DPA), Kandla, has marked an extraordinary week, achieving two major operational milestones that underscore its reputation as one of India’s most efficient and future-ready ports. With breakthroughs in both cargo handling and sustainable operations, the port continues to set new industry benchmarks.

Green Cargo Handling Reaches New Heights

In a significant stride toward cleaner logistics, DPA recorded a new 24-hour discharge milestone by handling 15,687 CBM of pine logs on the vessel MV TOMINI SOLANO at Berth CJ-14. What makes this achievement remarkable is that the entire operation was conducted using EV loaders, highlighting the port’s growing commitment to low-emission, environmentally friendly cargo handling.

This performance was the result of strategic planning, flawless coordination, and the consistent dedication of on-ground teams who ensured seamless operations throughout the discharge cycle.

IOCL’s LPG Terminal Achieves Its Best-Ever Monthly Performance

Adding to the port’s upward momentum, IOCL’s LPG Terminal at DPA achieved its highest monthly throughput to date. As of 27 November 2025, the terminal handled 15 LPG tankers and 2,70,551 MT of cargo, surpassing the previous high of 14 tankers set in March 2024. With projections indicating a month-end total of 17 tankers, the terminal reflects both rising demand and enhanced operational capability.
