MV CARDINAL VICTORY sets record import at Paradip port’s KICT berth

Paradip Port achieved a major operational milestone during December 25–26, 2025, with the successful handling of the highest-ever import parcel at the KICT Berth. The record was set by MV CARDINAL VICTORY at the Kalinga International Coal Terminal Paradip Port Private Limited (KICTPPL), marking a significant step forward in bulk cargo handling efficiency at the port.

Historic Cargo Discharge

MV CARDINAL VICTORY discharged a total of 1,56,400 metric tonnes of cargo in a single operation. The consignment included both coking coal and PCI coal, handled as a full discharge, reflecting seamless planning and execution at the terminal.

Cargo Details and Beneficiaries

The import parcel was handled on account of Tata Steel Limited (TSL) and Neelachal Ispat Nigam Limited (NINL). The cargo breakup included 46,000 MT of coking coal for TSL, 20,000 MT of coking coal for NINL, and 90,400 MT of PCI coal for TSL. The smooth completion of this large-volume discharge highlights the terminal’s strong operational capabilities.
