Realme has officially confirmed the key specifications of the upcoming Realme 16 Pro ahead of its India launch scheduled for January 6, 2026. The company has revealed major details related to the smartphone’s camera capabilities, performance hardware, display technology, battery, software features, and design. Positioned as a premium mid-range device, the Realme 16 Pro aims to deliver flagship-level features at a competitive price point.

Camera and Imaging Features
The Realme 16 Pro will feature the same primary camera hardware as the Pro+ variant, highlighting Realme’s focus on imaging performance. The device is equipped with a 200MP LumaColor main camera powered by the Samsung HP5 sensor. It supports optical image stabilisation along with full-pixel auto zoom, enabling 1x, 2x, and 4x lossless zoom options.

The camera system carries TÜV Rheinland certification and utilises Realme’s HyperRAW algorithm to improve light balance and contrast in various shooting conditions. For portrait photography, users will have access to five preset focal lengths at 1x, 1.5x, 2x, 3.5x, and 4x. Additional software enhancements include Vibe Master Mode with 21 portrait tone options and AI Edit Genie, which allows editing of hairstyles, backgrounds, and facial details. Video capabilities include 4K HDR recording at 1x and 2x zoom, supported by the MainTrack algorithm for subject tracking.

Performance and Hardware
Powering the Realme 16 Pro is the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Max 5G chipset. According to Realme, the smartphone has achieved over 970,000 points on the AnTuTu benchmark, indicating strong performance for daily tasks and gaming. To manage thermal performance, the device is equipped with an AirFlow VC cooling system.

The handset is also expected to pack a large 7,000mAh Titan battery. Realme has paired the battery with an AI long-life battery chip and a Super Power Saving Mode to extend usage time and improve long-term battery health.

Display and Visual Experience
The Realme 16 Pro is expected to feature a 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, offering smooth visuals and enhanced clarity. The panel is likely to support 1.07 billion colours and deliver a peak brightness of up to 6,500 nits, making it suitable for outdoor visibility and HDR content consumption.

Software and Smart AI Features
On the software front, the Realme 16 Pro will run Realme UI 7.0. The interface will include Flux Engine animations and NEXT AI features designed to enhance user experience. Confirmed AI tools include AI Framing Master, AI Recording, and Google Gemini integration. The smartphone will also feature an IP69 rating, providing high-level dust and water resistance.

Design and Colour Options
Continuing its collaboration with renowned designer Naoto Fukasawa, Realme has introduced the Urban Wild Design for the Realme 16 Pro. The device will be available in three colour options: Master Gold, Pebble Grey, and Orchid Purple, blending premium aesthetics with a modern design approach.
