Bihar is set to witness a historic political moment today, Thursday, November 20, as JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar takes oath as the Chief Minister for a record 10th time. The swearing-in ceremony will take place at the iconic Gandhi Maidan in Patna at 11:30 am and will be attended by several national leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. After a decisive victory for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the 2025 Bihar assembly elections, Nitish Kumar was unanimously chosen to lead the new government.

2. Venue and Timing of the Oath Ceremony
   The swearing-in will take place at Gandhi Maidan in Patna at 11:30 am. This is the fourth time since 2005 that Nitish Kumar will be sworn in at this historic ground, reflecting the venue’s symbolic importance in Bihar’s political landscape.
   
   

3. Massive Security Arrangements
   Security at Gandhi Maidan has been intensified under the supervision of the Special Protection Group (SPG), given the presence of top national leaders.
