The inaugural run from Mumbai to Kolkata on August 7, 2025, introduces a dedicated rail-based logistics solution, designed to overcome supply chain bottlenecks and enhance delivery efficiency for e-commerce players and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

Reliable and On-Time Delivery
The service leverages Indian Railways’ trusted Parcel Van (VP) network, offering fixed transit schedules to ensure predictable, on-time deliveries. This gives it a clear advantage over road transport, which often suffers delays from traffic congestion. Customers can benefit from features like advance booking, real-time tracking, and doorstep pickup and delivery bringing both convenience and transparency to the process.

Single-Window Logistics Solution
By consolidating small and mid-sized consignments into one streamlined system, the service eliminates the previously fragmented and costlier logistics methods. This single-window approach is especially beneficial for MSMEs, enabling them to access nationwide markets without excessive operational costs.

Driving India’s Net-Zero Ambitions
Rail transport consumes less fuel and emits far fewer greenhouse gases per tonne-kilometre compared to road transport. By shifting part of the freight load from highways to railways, CONCOR and Indian Railways aim to cut carbon emissions, reduce fossil fuel consumption, and improve air quality in major cities while also easing the burden on overcrowded road networks.
