Allcargo Terminals Ltd., a leading operator in India’s largest CFS ICD network, has received a 10-year extension from Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority to operate its Container Freight Station at Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust.
The CFS is operated under Speedy Multimodes, a 100 percent subsidiary of Allcargo Terminals. The extension underlines JNPA’s continued confidence in Allcargo Terminals’ operational capabilities and reinforces Speedy Multimodes’ position as a strategic, long-standing logistics partner within one of India’s most critical port ecosystems.

Strategic location delivering operational advantage
Located just 5 kilometres from JNPT, the Speedy Multimodes CFS is the closest facility to India’s largest gateway port. This proximity offers customers clear advantages in terms of faster turnaround times, smoother cargo flow, improved operational efficiency, and meaningful cost optimisation. For importers and exporters, reduced dwell time at the port translates directly into improved supply chain reliability.

Scale, capacity, and specialised cargo handling
One of the longest-standing CFS facilities at JNPT, Speedy Multimodes is spread across 53 acres, with 8.5 acres dedicated to warehousing. The facility currently has a throughput capacity of 180,000 TEUs and is set to undergo infrastructure upgrades in partnership with JNPA. These enhancements are expected to further strengthen handling capacity and operational performance.
The CFS also features dedicated zones for special cargo and Over-Dimensional Cargo (ODC), reinforcing its reputation as a preferred facility for handling complex and project cargo at JNPT.

Highlighting the strategic importance of the partnership, Gaurav Dayal, Chairman of JNPA, stated that the contract extension reflects confidence in Allcargo Terminals’ operational strength and its contribution to port-led logistics efficiency. He noted that the planned infrastructure upgrades will enable Speedy Multimodes CFS to manage steadily growing cargo volumes with scale, efficiency, and digital-first logistics services.
The extension and upgradation are aligned with JNPA’s ambitious vision to become the first Indian port to handle 10 million TEUs by 2027.

Strengthening EXIM trade and port operations
Commenting on the development, Ashish Chandna, Chief Executive Officer of Allcargo Terminals Ltd., expressed gratitude to JNPA for its continued trust. In addition to Speedy Multimodes, Allcargo Terminals operates another facility near JNPT where it has recently announced a major expansion. The handling capacity of this facility has nearly doubled from 1,90,000 TEUs to 3,60,000 TEUs annually.
