Chairman Gautam Adani, during the company’s Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, described the ports business as the “beating heart of India’s trade”, highlighting its central role in powering the country’s economic momentum.
A Vision Beyond Traditional Ports
Adani emphasized that the group’s ambitions stretch well beyond conventional port operations. “With marine, trucking, warehousing, and even freight forwarding, we are creating a transport utility for the future,” he noted. This forward-thinking strategy reflects a commitment to transforming APSEZ into a seamless, multimodal logistics platform that integrates every link in the supply chain from ship to shelf.

By strengthening India’s transport and logistics ecosystem, Adani Ports is working to reduce inefficiencies and ease the movement of goods across the country.
Supporting MSMEs and Boosting Competitiveness
A significant part of APSEZ’s strategy focuses on supporting Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) the backbone of India’s manufacturing and export economy. The company is investing heavily across the logistics value chain to deliver end-to-end solutions that enhance operational efficiency and cost competitiveness for Indian businesses, particularly for exporters.
Ambitious Growth Plans Ahead
With an eye on the future, Adani Ports has set a bold target: to handle 1 billion tonnes of cargo by FY30, more than double the volume projected for FY25. This growth will be fueled not only by expanding port operations but also by scaling up its logistics and marine service offerings. As APSEZ continues to evolve, it stands poised to play a transformative role in India’s journey toward becoming a global trade leader.
